Located in the scenic North York Moors National Park, on the outskirts of Scarborough, Hackness Hatchery is the proud home of dozens of rare breed poultry groups, supplying hatching eggs throughout the UK and now overseas. We began our mission in 2021, dedicated to preserving endangered breeds and supporting poultry keepers of all experience levels with quality products and expert-led guidance.
Trusted and chosen by hundreds of customers across eBay and Facebook, we now stock a variety of rare breed chickens as well as quails and turkeys. We believe in offering each bird the space and care it needs to thrive, which is why our flocks are raised outside and in the natural surroundings they expect! By giving them the best start, we increase your chance of success.

Embark on the rewarding journey of incubating and hatching your own chickens with our hatching eggs, now typically sold in boxes of 3, 6, 9 and 12 - although we're happy to supply custom quantities, as well as cater for much larger orders where required. Our beautiful breeds, including Orpingtons, Silkies, Auracanas and Cream Legbars, offer you the perfect start, all with exceptional fertility rates and great stock health.
